Stockpiling: Saving Money Now and Later by Stockpiling

Stockpiling is a great method to help you save money not only right now, but also in the future. If anyone is confused about what stockpiling actually is feel free to visit my coupon dictionary and glossary article. When stockpiling your favorite products, you can purchase them at the lowest possible price — you’ll save money and give you a surplus of items.

Stockpiling: Extreme Couponing At Its Finest

Not only can you stockpile your favorite canned foods, peanut butter, nuts, cereal and granola bars, but you can also stock up on non-food products. Why not have excess amounts of toothpaste, toilet paper, cleaning supplies or whatever else you have coupons for! I remember growing up always running out of toothpaste and toilet paper at the wrong time! It was the worst, so now I make sure to prevent this and save myself money at the same time.

To efficiently create your own stockpile you will need to stop being loyal to just certain brands. To successfully become an extreme couponer you should want to buy whatever brand is the cheapest during your trip to the store. Don’t feel that you must always sacrifice brand for price, but definitely pick your battles and keep an open mind to all brands.

If I didn’t do a worthy enough job convincing you before, here are 4 more reasons why you should create a stockpile:

1. When life throws you lemons, what do you do?  Sometimes life can throw obstacles in your way that you most definitely aren’t ready for. In case of bad events or even a job loss, you can always sleep better knowing that you and your family will be well supplied for an extended amount of time.

2. To protect yourself in the event that food prices jump through the roof. Although this is very unpredictable, it’s always better to be prepared. If this ever occurs, you’ll be sitting back calm while everyone is panicking.

3. Everyone has had this happen to him or her: you’re cooking in your kitchen and realize you’re missing a key ingredient. No reason to rush around to the supermarket anymore, just take a visit to your stockpile. Your stockpile is also great for those nights you get an unusual craving and feel spontaneous enough to cook something new and special.

4. To sleep better at night. When you think about how important it is to have your peace of mind, stockpiling is one strategy to give you comfort.

Of course, stockpiling starts with great coupons, like the ones we will have here at RewardIt.  Even better, you’ll be able to earn points while saving money, so you’ll get even more bang out of your shopping.
